2014 Sheridan WYO Rodeo Starts July 5th & Century 21 BHJ is a Proud Sponsor!

Sheridan RodeoThe Sheridan WYO Rodeo is back for another fun and exciting year, ready to give would-be cowboys a chance to try out their skills in a friendly yet competitive environment.

And here’s the best part, Century 21 BHJ is a proud sponsor for another year!

Why People Will Love Attending This Rodeo in Sheridan, Wyoming

Imagine the thrill of getting on a bucking bull and trying to hold on for dear life as long as you can. Imagine the exhilaration of lasting longer than any another cowboy in the ring.

That experience can be yours at the 2014 Sheridan Wyoming Rodeo!

This event was started in part to raise awareness about all that Sheridan Wyoming had to offer. After all, in 1931, it was a bit of a ghost town.

So local residents organized a rodeo to attract people to the area. But not just any rodeo! It was a first class professional rodeo that rose to the same level as any other professional rodeo in those days, including the Cheyenne Frontier Days in Cheyenne.

That first year’s rodeo enjoyed immense success. For instance, the $15,000 purse attracted professional rodeo contestants from all over the country! And a subsequent rodeo parade on Main Street drew thousands of spectators. The Sheridan WYO Rodeo was off to a roaring start!

Today, after roughly 80 years of growth and evolution, the Sheridan-Wyo Rodeo is considered one of the premier Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and Woman’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) rodeos in America. And it all got its start because local residents wanted others to know just how great their community was.
